I really had a great day today. It started off with work in the morning, which was different from the other days I'd worked so far. It was graduation day, so there was a free BBQ outside, and no students comming in for tutoring. My task today was to upload files the writing departement needed into a program and organize them. Once I finished this we went outside to have lunch at the BBQ.
After work we headed off to Rockefeller centre in Manhattan to see the "top of the Rock", an observation deck at the roof of Rockefeller Centre. On our way there we were on the subway, when a few guys entered and started a breakdance show, something typical for the New York subway. From the top of the rock we had an amazing view of the city, some of the highlights of this view where the Empire State Building, One World Trade Centre and Central Park.
Afterwards we went to have dinner at a Brazilian restaurant, which turned out to be a fantastic place. After dinner, when it started to get dark, we made our way to the Empire State Building. Once we made it to the observation deck at the 84th floor, darkness had fell outside. It was the most amazing view; the whole city was full of lights. A few beautiful buildings had been lit up even more than the others, and the place where Times Square is located was one big light. I really enjoyed the view we had there.
On our way home we walked through Times Square. I had been there before in daylight, but it was even more overwhelming and stunning at night. The whole square was lit up as if it was the middle of the day.
